Interested in becoming a Room Parent? If you are interested in becoming a Room Parent for your student's class, please complete the questionnaire. The PTA coordinates Room Parents to facilitate communication of PTA information to families and support teachers with classroom activities and events. Responsibilities may include organizing class parties, recruiting volunteers, coordinating teacher appreciation, and assisting with PTA-to-family communication. 

TK/K Orientation: August 6: We welcomed our newest families to our school and the Kimberly Elementary Cub community. These newest Cubs had a VIP welcome, walking down a red carpet to the MPR. TK Orientation was at 10:00am and Kindergarten Orientation at 11:00am. Students walked to their classes with their teacher and got to check out their classroom. They even got a preview of the fun awaiting them at recess!   

First Day of School: August 7: The first day of school is in the books! Teachers were excited to meet their students and greet parents who were able to walk their child(ren) to class. Following the first day, the campus will be closed, and parents will drop their child(ren) off at the gates. We hope you have a great year! Sign Gypsies of Redlands rocked the Welcome Back signs! Thank you to Chris Olsen, PTA President, for the balloon columns at the gates.

Big Day: August 11

Minimum Day: All students will attend school from 7:45am to 11:35am.

Kona Ice: Our favorite shaved ice truck will be at gate 2 after school on Monday at 11:30. Bring your cups and enjoy a cold treat! 

Kimberly Elementary PTA Meeting: The PTA will hold its first association meeting in the MPR at the beginning of Back to School Night. We will introduce the PTA and board members, share information about upcoming events, and present the proposed programs and budget for the year for adoption by the association. 

Back to School Night: Parents of students in grades 1st through 5th are invited to attend Back to School Night on Monday, August 11th, at 6:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child's teacher, learn about the curriculum, and hear about the exciting plans for the upcoming year!

Nothing Bundt Cakes: Pick up a delicious Bundlet or a 4-pack at BTS Night. 20% will be donated back to Kimberly PTA.

Ice Cream Social: August 14

Come chill with us! The PTA is hosting a FREE frozen treat event at the shade structure from 5-7pm. The PTA board will be there to chat, answer questions, and share all the exciting activities planned for the year. A big thank you to the National Charity League volunteers for helping make this long-standing Back to School tradition a success! This year, we will have live music from Tomorrow's Anthem. This all-girl teenage band has been performing throughout Southern California, playing a mix of classic rock and blues. They rock! @tomorrowsanthem 

Reflections: August/September

The 2025-2026 Reflections Theme is "I Belong." Students are encouraged to create original art based on this theme in categories such as Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. The Elementary students can participate in the Primary division (TK-2nd), Intermediate division (3rd-5th), or the Accessible Arts division (all grades). For detailed information, please refer to the general rules and participation forms. Submission deadlines and the Kimberly Reflections Recognition Program date will be announced soon.

Charleston Wrap: September 8 - October 6

Get ready! The PTA is excited to announce the return of the Charleston Wrap fundraiser. Whether you are looking for the perfect gift for a beloved aunt, planning ahead for a teacher appreciation gift, or simply in the need of top-quality, heavy-duty, double-sided wrapping paper, you'll find an excellent selection of high-quality products. Let's work together to surpass last year's impressive profit of $5806.

"Not Kampout": September 19

Yes, it is a bummer that the overnight experience was canceled by the district. But don't worry, we're re-imagining our awesome tradition. Get ready for "Not Kampout", an evening of dinner and a movie under the stars. We're really trying to make this feel as close as possible to our 15-year tradition. More details are on the way! 

Walk & Roll to School Day: October 8

Come walk, bike, or roll to school with friends, teachers, and families! It'll be fun, healthy, and safe. We meet at the Prospect Park sign on Cajon St., and the police will escort us to Kimberly. Let's get moving and encourage active transportation and build healthy habits together!

Fall Festival: October 18

Get ready for a carnival of fun at our annual Kimberly PTA Fall Festival! Kids and families are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and enjoy booth games, inflatables, a captivating circus performance, and much more. More details coming soon.
