Happy 2024 Cubs!

Important!

Waiver Required: In order to participate in any and all Kimberly PTA-sponsored programs, events, and activities, all families must submit the California State PTA: Parent's Approval, Student, Family, and Participation Waiver. This form is filled out once for your entire family and covers you for every PTA event during the 2023-2024 school year. This information will be verified at check-in for events. Save time and fill it out online! Without this waiver, you and your student will not be able to participate in running club, garden club, Kampout, Fall Festival, or any PTA-sponsored activity.

RUSD Board Approved Volunteers: If you are interested in volunteering in your student's classroom or helping out on campus for PTA during the school day, you must be an RUSD board approved volunteer. Instructions to apply and required paperwork can be found on the District Volunteer Application site.  New this year, if you plan to chaperone a field trip, you must also provide fingerprint clearance. You may go to the District Office to be fingerprinted.

Recap of Recent Events

FUNDRAISERS

The perfect blend of food, friends, and fun! Minh Ta-Dinh, VP of Fundraising, organized a couple of fun outings. Créatif Redlands Art Studio donated 20% of the proceeds from Kimberly families' purchases on Wednesday, February 7. Food sure tastes better when shared with friends and knowing you are supporting a good cause! Kimberly PTA raised $72.01 from a fundraising held at Septembers Taproom & Eatery Wednesday - Sunday (2/7-2/11).

Proceeds from fundraisers help support the association-approved programs that benefit all students at Kimberly Elementary.

DONUTS WITH DYERLY

Principal Dyerly presented on the importance of state testing and provided some test-taking tips to share with our students on February 2. Two members won a pack of 4 laser tag games from Lazer Legacy at the meeting. Due to the Read by the Pond event, there will be no Donuts with Dyerly in March. The next meeting will be April 5 in the MPR at 8:00 am. If you have a recommendation for future topics to be covered at the monthly meet-up, please share it with PTA at info@kimberlypta.org or by submitting this form. Thank you to Dawne Simmons, PTA Community Outreach Chair, for organizing the meetings.

100th DAY OF SCHOOL

Our students are 100 days smarter! The 100th day of school was celebrated on January 30. Students dressed up like they were 100 years old or donned outfits that showed they were 100 days into the 2023-2024 school year.

MATH ASSEMBLY

Kimberly teacher, math enthusiast, and PTA member, Heather Turner, along with Carolyn Cullen, PTA assemblies chair and school counselor, organized a math assembly for our students and families. Students participated in math activities throughout the day and families got to participate in the fun during a Family Math Night on January 24. Many thanks for the math fun!

GREAT KINDNESS CHALLENGE

Kimberly students and staff participated in the Great Kindness Challenge January 22 - 26. There were fun spirit days organized by Cub Leadership to complement the Great Kindness Challenge week.

KISS A PIG!

On January 18th, Kimberly's amazing Principal Dyerly KISSED A PIG! What a sport! Every student in the school also had the opportunity to pet the friendly pig.  This fun and exciting school assembly was brought to you by our membership team led by Jennifer Jackson and Hien Huynh. Our association reached the highest membership in the Redlands Council of PTAs with 431 members thanks to each one of you!
