Everyone got to take a tour of the room and learn how students will benefit from the resources in the Cub Cave. Donuts, coffee, and juice were provided by the Kimberly PTA.

Kimberly Fall Festival: The annual Fall Festival was a hit! Kids and adults came in fun costumes to enjoy game booths organized by classes, inflatables, face painting, a Hollywood make-up artist, a photo booth, and a yummy bake sale. Dough Dudes, Cooper's Coffee, and Kona Ice were there selling delicious food. Baskets and items were available to bid on or purchase during the Silent Auction fundraiser thanks to classroom donations, Redlands businesses, and Kimberly staff. Thank you Dorie Clark, PTA VP and Fall Festival Chair for organizing an amazing event!

Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day: The 27th annual National Walk and Roll to school day was October 4. A couple hundred participants joined PTA to walk, ride, and roll to Kimberly. PTA cheered the students on as they entered Gate 1 and provided breakfast bars, oranges, and water to participants. Thanks to Chris Olsen for organizing the walk and the Redlands PD escort to keep the students and families safe.

Frugal Frigate Book Fair: Kimberly families shopped local September 18 - 24 to support teachers and staff at Kimberly Elementary. Books were purchased off of wish lists and 20% of all proceeds went back to Kimberly PTA through store credit to be used to purchase additional books. Last year, the PTA purchased books off teachers' wish lists and high AR-level books, Caldecott and Newbery winners, and other RUSD-approved books for the Kimberly Elementary Library. Thank you Justine Guidry for organizing the Book Fair.

Kimberly Kampout: The 14th annual PTA Kimberly Kampout saw about 740 Cubs, Kimberly Staff, and their families come together to enjoy a BBQ dinner provided by PTA and CNS, roasted s'mores, and a The Super Mario Bros. Movie under the stars. Over 300 stayed the night and enjoyed a light breakfast in the morning before saying goodbye. Thank you to PTA Kampout chair, Chris Olsen, and the Dads of Kimberly for this amazing tradition.

Annual Membership Drive: The annual PTA Membership Drive kicked off on August 9 and ran through September 16. We are proud to report we have 423 PTA members! Because we didn't reach the 450 members for students to vote if Principal Dyerly would kiss a pig or be slimed, she got to pick! Soon Principal Dyerly will be kissing a pig at an assembly on campus. On Friday, September 29, CNS provided a pizza party to the classes that reached 80% membership and the class in each grade level that had the highest participation. See the Membership page for more information. Donor gifts will be delivered soon. Thank you Jennifer Jackson and Hien Huynh for an amazing membership drive.

Lappert's Premium Ice Cream Fundraiser: What a treat to have Lappert's Ice Cream after school on the minimum day on September 6. Lappert's will be opening on State Street soon. Cubs and Cub families got an early taste of the creamy treat.

Shop Suey Boutique Fundraiser: Thank you to everyone who stopped by Shop Suey to shop local and support Kimberly. It was so much fun! 15% of sales went back to Kimberly PTA. Shop Suey gifted everyone who came by with a swag bag and provided a charcuterie board and drinks to enjoy while shopping. Teachers receive 20% off their purchases all week long - promotion ends September 2.

Ice Cream Social: The annual PTA Ice Cream Social was a hit! Members from the National Charity League volunteered and scooped so much ice cream! We can't thank them enough for volunteering their time at our event. Kimberly Cub families enjoyed hanging out with old friends and meeting new families. The live music from The Marvels put the cherry on top!

New Faces Around Campus: We have some new faces around campus. Kimberly welcomes Miss Kishimoto (Kindergarten), Mrs. Sternberg (1st Grade), and Mr. Arellanes (Special Ed)!

1st Day of School: There were lots of smiles as friends greeted each other with hugs on the first day of school. Families met up by Gate 2 after school to hang out with friends and grab a Kona Ice. Principal Dyerly kicked off Back to School night by introducing our amazing teachers and provided information on Title I. PTA held the first association meeting of the year where the association adopted the programs and budget for the year.

TK/Kinder Orientation: TK and Kindergarten students were welcomed to Kimberly Elementary at TK/K Orientation on August 8 by Principal Dyerly. After a short presentation in the MPR, the parents got to meet their student's teacher and learn what to expect this year.

This year there are two TK classes, an Early Bird and a Later Gator class, and two full day Kindergarten classes.

Welcome Back Staff Lunch: PTA hosted a lunch for teachers on Monday, August 7, to welcome them back to school! We appreciate our Kimberly Staff and look forward to another great year!
